Samsung has officially unveiled the Exynos 2600.
Its most recent smartphone chip will compete with the Dimensity 9500 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
In a recent announcement, Samsung highlighted that the Exynos 2600 boasts an enhanced NPU that delivers 113 percent more performance compared to its predecessor.
Built using TSMC’s 2nm technology, the Exynos 2600 features a 10-core CPU that incorporates the new C1-Ultra and C1-Pro cores.
Additionally, Samsung appears to have moved away from low-power cores, opting instead for a blend of mid-range and high-performance cores.
When compared to last year’s Exynos 2500, the new chip provides up to 39 percent more performance.
It also introduces the new Xclipse 960 GPU, which enhances ray-tracing performance by up to 50 percent and includes AI-driven resolution scaling and frame generation.
Samsung claims that its latest flagship chipset can support cameras up to 320MP and eliminates shutter lag for 108MP sensors.
It is capable of recording 8K videos at 30 fps and 4K videos at 120 fps with HDR.
The company also asserts that the Exynos 2600 addresses one of the major issues that has plagued the lineup for years – overheating.
Samsung claims to have enhanced thermal dissipation efficiency with its Heat Path Block technology, utilizing a High-k EMC.
This innovation improves heat flow and reduces thermal resistance by up to 16 percent, helping to keep the chip’s internal temperature stable even during intense workloads.
It is expected that the Exynos 2600 will make its debut in the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus.
