On Sunday, January 26, 2026, India celebrated its 77th Republic Day with a vibrant and spectacular parade at Kartavya Path with a “150 Years of Vande Mataram” theme.
At the 77th Republic Day Parade, which took place at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accompanied by European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen(Photo Images).
Among the audience were Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, various Union Ministers, top military officials, foreign diplomats, and senior government representatives.
The parade showcased major weapon systems like the BrahMos and Akash systems, the rocket launcher ‘Suryastra,’ the Main Battle Tank Arjun, and a variety of homegrown military platforms and equipment.

Approximately 100 artists opened the parade, which embraced the theme ‘Vividata Mein Ekta (Unity in Diversity)’ and featured a spectacular display of musical instruments, highlighting the nation’s unity and its rich cultural diversity.
