Bumrah bowled his first over in the sixth and took out Tim Seifert (12 runs) with the first ball.
Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips tried to stabilize things for New Zealand, forming a 50-run partnership in the 12th over.
However, Chapman was caught out by Ravi Bishnoi on the last ball of the over.
Pandya then claimed the important wicket of Daryl Mitchell (14 runs), adding to New Zealand’s troubles.
Bumrah also took down Mitchell Santner (27 runs) and Kyle Jamieson (3 runs).
India’s bowlers put on a solid performance, limiting New Zealand to 153/9 in their 20 overs.
On the first ball of the chase, Matt Henry dismissed Sanju Samson for a golden duck, giving the Indian team an early setback.
Ishan Kishan also fell to Ish Sodhi, scoring 28 off 13 balls.
Indian opener Abhishek Sharma smashed the second-fastest half-century by an Indian in T20I, reaching the milestone in just 14 balls.

The record for the first fastest fifty by an Indian in T20I belongs to all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who achieved a 12-ball half-century against England back in 2007.
