The Sabarimala Ayyappa temple is set to open at 4 p.m. on October 16 for the monthly puja during the Malayalam month of Thulam.
On the first day of Thulam (October 18), the temple will be open for darshan starting at 5 a.m.
Additionally, the draw of lots for choosing the Sabarimala and Malikappuram Melshantis will take place at the Sannidhanam in the morning on the first day of Thulam, as stated in a release on Wednesday.
This year, the Sree Chithira Aattathirunal festival will be celebrated on October 21.
President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Sabarimala on October 22.
The Travancore Devaswom Board has begun making arrangements to greet the President.
There will be restrictions on darshan on October 22 due to the President’s visit.
