Samsung is set to reveal seventh generation of foldable phones on Wednesday (July 9, 2025) at a global event during Galaxy Unpacked July 2025. The South Korean electronics giant is placing a big bet on generative AI, Galaxy AI, to enhance the productivity of these multitasking devices.

Samsung is set to reveal three foldable phones:  Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

The upcoming Galaxy foldable and flip phones are expected to come with an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Samsung is also set to highlight the One UI 8 that these devices will probably operate on after their launch, which is based on Android 16.

A 200 MP main camera is anticipated in the series to replicate the camera capabilities of its Ultra series. The telephoto lens is probably going to stay the same as well.

Samsung isn’t expected to make significant upgrades to the selfie camera in these models. That said, the inner front lens might see some enhancements.

Samsung, known for being stingy with battery life, is likely to include a 5,000 mAh battery in the Fold 7 and a 4,700 mAh battery in the Flip 7. As usual, the charger won’t be part of the package. We’re uncertain about the battery capacity for the ‘Ultra’ or ‘FE’ variants since they will be new releases.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 might feature a 7.9-inch display, while the front could have a 6.5-inch screen. The Flip 7 is the least likely to undergo any display modifications.

Samsung might also introduce the Galaxy 8 series smartwatches alongside the foldable phones. There could be two versions available: base and classic.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2025 is set to stream at 7:30 PM IST.

This year, Samsung’s foldable phones are expected to be among the top tier options, going head to head with Vivo’s foldable, Motorola’s flip.
