The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Rising Stars Asia Cup, which will take place in Qatar.

Jitesh Sharma, the T20I wicket keeper, has been chosen to captain the 15-member team, which includes several young talents.

Naman Dhir, an all-rounder from Punjab, will serve as his vice captain.

Jitesh, who recently played his first T20 since the IPL 2025 season for Royal Challengers Bengaluru just a few days ago in Hobart.

He quickly made an impression by scoring an undefeated 22 to help India win the five-match series against Australia for the first time.

Earlier this year, he had a fantastic run during RCB’s successful campaign, contributing crucial lower-order runs at a strike rate exceeding 176.

The 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has been making waves in domestic and age-group cricket, has received his first call-up to the India A team.

The tournament for emerging stars is scheduled to run from November 14 to 23, 2025, at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.

India A will compete in Group B alongside Oman, UAE, and Pakistan.
