1) The Asian Fairy Bluebird
The Asian Fairy Bluebird isn’t entirely purple, its dark blue and black plumage often appears violet in the shade of the forest.
Thattekad, Kerala’s premier bird sanctuary, is a fantastic spot to see this gorgeous bird.
Even though they are difficult to spot, their unique calls can be heard resonating through the trees.
The ideal time to see these birds is from October to March.
2)Bronze-Winged Jacanas
This bird features shiny patches that shimmer purple in the sunlight.
Its long toes allow it to navigate easily on floating vegetation, making it a favorite among photographers.
Karnataka’s Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is famous for its river birds, yet many visitors overlook the Bronze-Winged Jacana.
Look for them during winter and early summer.
