The EOS R6 Mark III is Canon’s latest full-frame mirrorless camera, perfect for capturing both stills and videos.

This new model features a 32.5-megapixel sensor, improved autofocus, and can record video up to 7K.

It also has a revamped dual-card system with a faster CFexpress Type B slot.

The R6 series targets a broader audience who might not require the 45 megapixels offered by the more expensive EOS R5 Mark II or want to pay over Rs 3.5 lakh just for the body.

However, the R6 Mark III is impressive, increasing the resolution from 24 megapixels in the previous model to 32.5 megapixels.

Moreover, the Mark III allows for full corner-to-corner open-gate recording, giving you more cropping options, and it can capture high-quality video at up to 4K/120p and 7K/60p RAW.

There are various gamma settings to choose from, including custom looks and Canon’s Log 2 mode.

One of the most practical upgrades for videographers is the switch from a micro HDMI to a full-size Type A HDMI port, along with a tally lamp that makes it easier to see when recording from a distance.

Plus, the new autofocus technology can now recognize a person’s face, ensuring it prioritizes them while tracking continuously.

Canon’s choice to move from dual SD card slots on the R6 Mark II to a mixed setup featuring one CFexpress Type B and one SD on the Mark III is a change that could stir up some debate.

The R6 Mark III is capable of longer bursts of images while maintaining the same shooting speeds as its predecessor (12 fps with the mechanical shutter or 40 fps electronically), even with the higher resolution, thanks in part to the faster speeds that CFexpress offers. However, CFexpress cards tend to be pricier, and managing different card formats can be a hassle.

Canon is also launching an exciting new lens, the RF 45mm f/1.2 STM, alongside the EOS R6 Mark III.

This lens is a compact, standard prime with a very shallow depth of field and an impressive maximum aperture, making it great for low-light photography.

The EOS R6 Mark III will be available for purchase starting November 25.
