Elon Musk’s AI venture, xAI, has launched an AI-driven online knowledge base that’s being marketed as a replacement for Wikipedia.
It called Grokipedia, it boasted around 8,85,279 articles as of Tuesday (October 28, 2025), with Musk assuring that more updates and enhancements are on the way.
The interface of Grokipedia resembles that of Wikipedia.
Users can search for topics, delve into subjects, navigate through sub-sections, and check cited statements.
However, some essential features like licensed images, multimedia elements, links to related topics, infographics, and articles in foreign languages were noticeably missing.
Musk shared on X, “The aim of Grok and http://Grokipedia.com is to present the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. We may not achieve perfection, but we will always strive for that goal”.
In another post, he mentioned that Grokipedia is open source, free to use, and accessible to everyone.
Musk also promised that users would have the ability to request Grok to add, modify, or delete articles, and it would either comply or explain its refusal.
